Can you strategically develop technical security topics while staying close to their implementation?

We are looking for an experienced leader as Group Leader Cyber Security & Network (m/f/d) for an established company in the regulated financial and services sector. You will take professional and disciplinary responsibility for a specialist team.

In this role, you will combine the development of the security strategy with technical involvement. You will work on strategic technology and budget decisions as well as transformation and future projects.

Your responsibilities

  • You will lead a specialist team in Cyber Security and Infrastructure, with professional and disciplinary responsibility.
  • You will further develop the security strategy and technical roadmap.
  • You will manage priorities, resources and projects.
  • You will work closely with Product Owners, architects and other IT areas.
  • You will contribute to strategic technology and budget decisions.
  • You will foster an open team culture that encourages personal responsibility.
  • You will coordinate with internal stakeholders and governance and risk functions.
  • You will ensure transparency around projects, risks and measures.

What you bring

What you should have:

  • Several years’ professional experience in IT Security, networking or a comparable technical IT discipline
  • Initial or several years’ leadership experience
  • Strong technical understanding of modern security technologies
  • Experience managing complex IT topics
  • Experience managing interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Co-operative leadership style
  • Enjoyment of actively shaping change
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Strategic outlook on future developments

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Network, Firewall or Cloud Security
  • Regulatory requirements, such as ISO 27001 or DORA
  • Modern security platforms
  • Infrastructure technologies
